Nokia X to be launched in India today; likely to be priced at Rs 8,500

Nokia’s new launch Android series phones Nokia X will be launched in India today with various events scheduled in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. This is going to be the first phone by Nokia which runs Android applications. Hence as expectedly there is lot of buzz around this phone in mobile world.


















The phone is said to be available for purchase in Indian market from March 15 at cost approximately INR 8500. The prices of other two phones of this Nokia Android family Nokia X+ and XL are not yet announced. The availability of Nokia X phones are also not yet announced by Nokia India.

Recently we have seen the phone is listed on online retailer eBay at huge cost of Rs. 11,590 and mentioned to be available by March 10 only. It was also spotted online at retailer Mobile Store at cost of 8500 and was mentioned to be available by March 15.

Though this phone is not completely built on Android OS, Nokia X Software Platform uses Android's Open Source Code as its base, which makes it possible to run the Android apps that a lot of phone-finds crave.


It was officially said by Nokia that 75% of Android apps are capable to run on this phone without any such code level modification.
